Research

We conduct both quantitative and qualitative research using a number of tools including desk research, telephone interviewing, paper based surveys, email surveys and focus groups.

Our projects vary enormously in scale from statistically significant surveys conducted in a number of different languages, to very small scale projects looking at the market for one particular book. Previous research clients include Blackwells, the BBC Digital Curriculum project, Collins Education, BBC Worldwide, The British Computer Society, Edexcel and Hackney Learning Trust.

Desk Research

Our desk research capability can provide you with much useful information from market surveys to competitive analysis. We are also expert in commissioning academic reviews.

Quantitative Research

Shift is able to take on quantitative work using a variety of data collection methods. We have access to a large number of excellent telephone interviewers in a variety of different languages. We use SNAP as our main statistical tool, enabling us to analyse small or large scale surveys and produce highly customised results.

Qualitative Research

We conduct focus groups and in depth interviews often using qualitative research to add depth and colour to our quantitative work. We have the facility to use creative methods such as role play to communicate our findings and help you really feel in touch with your customers or stakeholders.

Syndicated Business Intelligence

Most of our research work is bespoke, but we also conduct research which we share between our clients. Learn more about Shift Media Syndicated Business Intelligence.
